The secret of a successful relationship with our Lord lies within the beautiful “Magnificat”. Mary’s soul magnified the Lord and her heart rejoiced in God Her Savior. Imagine her joy and excitement-after thousands of years and millions of prayers, Israel’s Messiah was coming and she was the chosen vessel!

Mankind was created to fellowship in love and joy with His Creator -even here on earth. Mary’s song portrays God as the Father of fathers. What father does not delight in an open, responsive relationship with wholesome, well-adjusted children?

Praise is the fruit of a satisfied soul. When praise and thanksgiving abound to God regardless of the outward circumstances then is He acknowledged to be Lord. Paul and Silas learned this early in their ministry as they sat in a dank, dirty dungeon. Their rejoicing blessed God and He, as Lord over ALL captivity rescued them; further glorifying His Name through the salvation of the jailor and his family. (Acts 16) Later, Paul, speaking through experience, commands the Philippians to “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I say rejoice.” (Phil.4:4)

If there is a people who should be filled with JOY, It is God’s sons and daughters. We have God’s assurance of an abundant life both here and hereafter! Every place we have faith to put our foot in God’s kingdom is ours to claim. (Josh. 1)

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, (God’s) own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (1Pet.2:9)

Rx: It’s time for you to get excited about your salvation! Make Mary’s joy your joy. Rejoice in God your Savior!
